Release notes
What changed in each release of the platform.
v0.74.0Current18 August 2026
Configurable Tax Name, Rate and Invoice Title
- New in Settings → Company Profile: set what your tax is called, the rate it is charged at, and the title your tax invoices carry — so shops outside Australia can run on UK VAT at 20%, New Zealand GST at 15%, or anything else
- Receipts, invoices, emailed PDFs and the tax report now use your own wording and rate everywhere they used to say "GST" and assume 10%
- Nothing changes for existing shops: every business starts on GST, 10% and "Tax Invoice", exactly as before, until you change it
- Invoices already issued keep the wording they were issued with — renaming GST to VAT never rewrites last year's paperwork
- New products and imported price lists now start at your own tax rate instead of a fixed 10%
v0.73.117 August 2026
Email Settings Wording
- The email settings status line now reads "Currently sending via…" and points to the setup form below for shops that want their own email service
v0.73.017 August 2026
Easier Email Setup
- Email settings now say plainly who is sending your mail: the platform by default (nothing to set up), or your own email service the moment you connect one
- One-click setup for the major email services — Gmail / Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, SendGrid, Mailgun, Amazon SES and Zoho — prefills the server details and explains each provider's gotchas, like Gmail App Passwords and SendGrid's "apikey" username
v0.72.217 August 2026
Receipt Warnings Moved Above the Receipt
- Compliance notes on the sale-complete screen (like the missing-ABN warning) now appear as a full-width banner above the receipt instead of a squeezed column beside it
- The missing-ABN warning now includes a direct link that opens POS Settings → Receipts so you can add the ABN on the spot
v0.72.117 August 2026
Support Chat Scroll Fix
- Scrolling inside the website support chat no longer scrolls the page behind it once the message list reaches its top or bottom
v0.72.017 August 2026
An AI Assistant on the RepairTree Website
- Visitors to repairtree.app can now chat with an AI assistant that answers questions about RepairTree — features, pricing, plans and getting started — grounded in the website's own content
- The assistant knows when it is out of its depth: it can hand the conversation over to a human, follows the handover instructions we set, and the platform team is notified the moment it happens
- Platform admins have a new Support AI console: read every conversation, fine-tune the assistant's instructions and the hand-over-to-human instructions, and re-train the assistant on the website with one click after publishing changes
- Platform admins can reply to a conversation directly from the console — the first reply takes it over from the AI, and the visitor sees the team's messages appear live in the widget
- New notification settings: email the platform team when a conversation is handed over (on by default) or when any new conversation starts, to a configurable recipient list
- This is on the public marketing site only — nothing changes inside the suite for signed-in shops
v0.71.016 August 2026
Bookings Gets Its Own Home
- Online bookings now have their own Bookings section in the sidebar, just above Repairs, instead of being tucked away as a tab inside it
- Nothing was reset. Your booking link, opening hours, services and every booking you have taken are exactly as you left them, and any booking form already on your website keeps working untouched
- Bookings has two tabs of its own: the Diary, which is your day-by-day list, and Settings, where the booking link, hours and services live
- Turning a booking into a repair still works the same way — Start repair opens the usual intake with the customer and device already filled in
- New: you can now switch off the make and model questions on the booking form, for shops that book something other than a device
- New shops now start with a short list of services on the booking form instead of a blank one. You can change or clear it, and it will not come back
- Bookings now has its own two permissions, so you can let someone work the diary without giving them the repair board, or the other way round. Everyone who could work bookings before still can
- The help site has a new Bookings section covering the diary, hours and slots, services, device details, putting the form on your website, turning a booking into a repair, and cancellations and no-shows
v0.70.015 August 2026
We Get Told When Something Breaks
- If something goes wrong overnight, we now find out straight away instead of the next time someone happens to look. Alerts go by email to the people who run the platform, and to a team chat channel where one is set up
- Four things now raise an alert: the app restarting unexpectedly, an error it could not handle, a scheduled job that keeps failing, and the server running low on space
- Running low on space used to be invisible until it caused a failed sale. The space left is now checked every fifteen minutes
- Scheduled jobs that quietly stopped — recurring invoices, payment reminders, campaign sends — now raise an alert instead of failing in silence
- Repeat alerts about the same problem are held back so one fault cannot fill an inbox, and every alert is also written to the admin notifications list in case email is the thing that has broken
- The system health page now shows how much room is left on the server, and confirms that alerts have somewhere to go
v0.69.015 August 2026
Devices Nobody Came Back For
- New 'Uncollected' tab in Repairs: every device that has been sitting finished for 30 days or more, oldest first, with how long it has been waiting and what is still owing
- Raise a proper written notice for a customer who has not come back. Enter what the device is worth and the app works out how long you have to give them, using the rules for your own state
- Print the notice as an A4 letter on your own letterhead — your shop name, address and ABN, never ours
- Record how the notice reached the customer — posted, emailed or handed over — and the app works out the earliest date you are allowed to do anything with the device
- The rules really do differ by state: New South Wales sets three price bands, Victoria is 28 days after your letter, Queensland wants a newspaper advertisement and a public auction, and Western Australia wants the paperwork kept for six years. All of it is spelled out on screen
- Where the rules have not been confirmed — South Australia and the ACT — the app says so plainly instead of inventing a date
- Keep a full record of what happened to each device: sold, auctioned, recycled or destroyed, what it fetched, and where any money left over went
- You cannot record a disposal until the notice has actually gone out, and disposing of something early needs a written reason that stays on the record. Only a supervisor or owner can record one
- Export the whole register to a spreadsheet at any time
v0.68.015 August 2026
Your Own Page For Customers
- Your public page now has its own spot in Settings, under Company — it used to be tucked inside Company Profile. You'll find your web address there, along with the switches to turn the page and repair tracking on or off
- The page itself has been rebuilt. Customers arriving now see your shop name, where you are, your opening hours, a link for directions and a tap-to-call number
- Customers can check where their repair is up to right on the page — no more pressing a button and waiting for another screen to load
- They can also book a time without leaving the page. It's the same booking form as before, just brought forward
- Your shop name no longer appears twice on the booking form
- On a phone everything stacks in the order you'd want it; on a computer the shop details sit alongside
- Staff running the platform can now see each shop's public address at a glance, and it's included when you export the company list
v0.67.015 August 2026
Found More Easily
- Sharing a link to our site now shows a proper preview card with the RepairTree name and colours. Before, the picture was missing entirely — and where it did appear, it showed the wrong brand
- Pages load noticeably faster, especially the first thing you see. The fonts now come from our own site instead of being fetched from Google part-way through loading
- Page titles in search results no longer repeat 'RepairTree' twice, and are short enough to be read in full
- repairtree.com.au, repairtree.com and the www versions now all send you to repairtree.app instead of quietly serving a second copy of the site
- Every industry page — bicycle, camera, shoe repair, tailoring and more — is now linked from the rest of the site. Eight of them could previously only be found by searching
- Added the Hardware page to our site map so search engines can find it, and stopped listing pages that do not exist
- Your account page and the shop page are no longer offered to search engines, since neither is useful to someone arriving from a search
- Descriptions shown under search results are no longer cut off mid-sentence
- A few help articles that shared a heading have been renamed so it is clear which is which
v0.66.015 August 2026
Choose What Email You Get
- The unsubscribe link in our emails now opens a proper preferences page instead of unsubscribing you the moment it's clicked — you can see what you're signed up for, turn things off, and turn them back on again
- Your own account has two separate switches: marketing and upgrade offers, and product updates and tips. Turning one off no longer silently turns off the other
- There's still a one-press 'unsubscribe from everything' if that's what you came for
- Customers who click Unsubscribe in one of your campaigns get the same page, and it makes clear that receipts, repair updates and booking confirmations keep coming
- Fixed unsubscribes that nobody asked for: some email scanners and link previewers were following the unsubscribe link on the recipient's behalf and opting them out. Nothing changes now until a button is pressed
- The one-click Unsubscribe button in Gmail, Outlook and Yahoo works exactly as before
v0.65.015 August 2026
Six Reports, No Typing
- Reporting has a new Reports tab with six ready-made reports — nothing to ask, nothing to type, just pick one
- Sales by staff: takings, refunds, net, units and average basket for everyone on the floor, including the people who sold nothing
- Sales by category: revenue, cost, margin and margin percentage per category, with ad-hoc and client-priced lines grouped as Uncategorised
- Sales by tender: what came in on each payment method, with split payments broken back into their legs so nothing goes missing
- Repair turnaround: how long tickets really take from booked-in to ready and to pickup — average and median, per store — read from the status history rather than the last time somebody edited the ticket
- Rework rate: warranty jobs as a share of everything booked in, plus the tickets that went from ready back to the bench
- GST / BAS summary: G1 total sales and 1A GST on sales for a BAS quarter or any range you choose, with refunds taken off at the sale's own GST rate. It says plainly that GST on purchases isn't covered, and if you aren't registered for GST it tells you that instead of showing zeros
- Every report follows your date range, your store filter and your shop's timezone, ignores voided sales, and exports to CSV
- The Reports tab only opens for staff who are allowed to view reports, and the GST summary is admin-only
v0.64.015 August 2026
Deposits On Repairs
- You can now take a deposit on a repair before the job is finished — press Deposit on any repair that hasn't been collected, enter the amount, and take the payment at the till like any other sale
- The deposit is recorded against that ticket along with the sale, how it was paid and who took it
- At collection, Collect & Pay charges the balance instead of the full total — everything already paid comes off first, so nobody is charged twice
- Opening a ticket shows what has been paid and what is left, so the counter knows where a job stands before the customer walks in
- If the deposits already cover the whole job there is nothing to ring up: the device is handed over and the ticket closed as paid on a staff PIN, without going to the till
- On a priced repair a deposit can't be more than what is still owing — you're told, rather than quietly charged a different amount. A repair with no price on it yet, like a diagnostic, can take any amount
- Refunding a deposit sale does not undo the deposit shown on the ticket, so adjust the repair price if a job is no longer going ahead
v0.63.015 August 2026
One Page That Shows The Lot
- The RepairTree website now has a single features page at repairtree.app/features that walks through every feature included on every plan
- A contents list at the top jumps straight to any feature, and each one gets its own write-up with a preview of what it looks like, what's included and a link to the full page for it
- Handy when someone asks what the software actually does — send them the one link instead of a list of them
v0.62.015 August 2026
A Page Of Your Own
- You can now claim a short web address for your shop — something like repairtree.app/at/your-shop — and hand it out on receipts, in text messages and on your social profiles
- The page shows your shop name and logo, every location with its address and a tap-to-call number, and your opening hours once online bookings are switched on
- Customers can check their own repair from that page: they enter their ticket number plus the phone number or email address you hold for them, and see the status, the dates it changed, their device and when it's expected back
- What they can't see is just as deliberate — no passcodes, no photos, no notes your staff wrote, no prices, and nothing about anybody else's repair
- Wrong details always give the same 'we couldn't find that repair' answer, so nobody can go fishing for ticket numbers
- If online bookings are on, customers can book straight from your page too — the same form and the same times as the one on your website, at an address short enough to text
- Set it all up in Settings → Company Profile → Your Public Page, where you can also switch the page or repair tracking off at any time
- Your 'ready for pickup' messages now include your tracking link automatically, unless you've written your own wording — in which case they're left exactly as you wrote them
v0.61.015 August 2026
Take Bookings From Your Website
- Customers can now book a drop-off time on your own website — switch Online Bookings on in Repairs → Settings and you get a link plus a copy-and-paste snippet for your site
- You decide what can be booked: opening hours for each day, closed dates, how long an appointment takes, how many you can take at once, how much notice you need and how far ahead people can book
- A time stops being offered the moment it's full, so two customers can never end up with the same spot
- Customers get a confirmation email with the time, your address and phone number, and a link to cancel themselves — a text message as well if you'd like one
- New bookings land in a Bookings tab in Repairs, grouped by day, with a count of the ones still waiting on you
- Confirm, cancel or mark a no-show with your staff PIN — the booking remembers who did it, and the customer is told when you confirm or cancel
- "Start repair" opens the usual intake screen with the customer and device details already filled in, and ties the booking to the ticket once you save it
- Nobody needs a new permission — anyone who already works your repairs can work your bookings
- Parts added to a repair ticket now come off that store's stock straight away (and go back if you remove them), with each movement shown in the inventory activity log — no more phantom stocktake variance from repair parts
v0.60.215 August 2026
Ad creative — grouped layout
- Category ads ("Phone Repair Shop Software") set both headline lines at equal display size — the targeting word was being whispered while the generic one shouted
- Logo back to the top-left of every creative, MADE IN AU badge to the top-right
- Feature pills tucked under the headline and the freed space moved above the repair board, so each ad reads as message → proof → action
- Call-to-action button runs the full column width on every cut, with the offer line centred above it
- Repair-board device glyphs brightened on both themes
v0.60.115 August 2026
Ad creative polish
- Hero lockup tightened — the lead-in line now hugs the main message instead of floating above it
- Logo moved to the top-right of every creative, MADE IN AU badge to the top-left
- Platform stats removed from ad creative; the line above the button now reads "Start free today." and the button carries just repairtree.app
v0.60.015 August 2026
Press kit: message-led ad creative
- Every ad creative now sets the main message line larger than the lead-in, so the core idea reads even at thumbnail size
- Two new creative cuts: Pain angle ("Ditch the spreadsheet." with a proof strip) and SMS moment (the customer's "it's ready" text, full frame)
- New 4-card carousel set — track, charge, text, grow — with the CTA and proof line on the closing card
- Matching Meta ad copy for both new cuts, written to placement character budgets
- Press page: carousel section with feed-white previews, and guidance to run the dark cut in feed placements
v0.59.014 August 2026
Reset a forgotten POS PIN yourself
- Forgot your till PIN? Open the profile menu and choose "Reset my PIN" — confirm your sign-in password and pick a new 4-digit PIN, without waiting on an admin
- Admins get a "Reset PIN" button on each staff card in Settings → Staff
- You'll get a confirmation email whenever your PIN changes, so an unexpected change is easy to spot
- PINs are stored one-way encrypted and can never be shown back to you — that's why the only option is setting a new one
v0.58.014 August 2026
The whole suite now works on your phone
- Every module — POS, Inventory, Repairs, Invoicing, CRM, Marketing, Reporting, Dashboard and Social — has been rebuilt to fit phone screens
- Module actions like New Repair, New Invoice, New Customer and Add Product are back on mobile (they were hidden before)
- The POS cart becomes a bottom bar on phones — tap it to open a full-screen cart with checkout
- Wide tables now scroll sideways instead of cutting off columns
- Forms no longer make iPhones zoom in when you tap a field
- Buttons and controls are bigger on touch screens
- You can add the suite to your phone's home screen and it opens like an app
v0.57.113 August 2026
Common questions answered on the website
- The RepairTree home page now has a Frequently Asked Questions section covering hardware, getting started, moving your data across, integrations, working offline, pricing and who owns your data
- A new FAQ link in the top menu jumps straight to it
v0.57.013 August 2026
Set up email signing without touching a command line
- Platform admins can now generate an email signing key from Settings → SMTP → Deliverability, in three steps: generate, publish the DNS record we show you, then press Check DNS
- The Check DNS button looks up the record live and tells you whether it's published, still propagating, or doesn't match — no more guessing whether it worked
- Signing only switches on once the record is confirmed published, so a half-finished setup can never send email that fails verification
- Rotating a key is safe: the current key keeps signing until the replacement is confirmed live
v0.56.113 August 2026
Google Tag Manager on the RepairTree marketing site
- Google Tag Manager added to the RepairTree marketing pages (alongside the existing Meta ad measurement) — marketing surface only, never inside the app or admin, and switchable off without a code change
v0.56.012 August 2026
Your emails are far more likely to reach the inbox
- Fixed the one-click Unsubscribe button in Gmail, Outlook and Yahoo — it was being rejected, so people who tried to unsubscribe often reported the email as spam instead, which damaged your sending reputation
- If you haven't set up your own mail server, your emails now go out from the platform address with your address set as the reply-to. Sending under your own address without your own mail server made your emails fail the recipient's spam checks
- You can now sign your emails and collect bounced ones under Settings → Email, if you run your own mail server — the two things mailbox providers look hardest at when deciding inbox versus spam
- A marketing campaign now stops itself if too many addresses bounce, instead of working through the whole list and damaging your sender reputation. You'll see how many bounced so you can clean the list
- Shared addresses like info@, sales@ and noreply@ are now left out of marketing audiences — nobody signs up for marketing at those, and mailing them is a common way to get blocklisted
- The plain-text version of your emails no longer starts with a block of styling code, which spam filters count against you
- Emails now carry the standard markings that identify them as automated, so they no longer trigger out-of-office auto-replies
v0.55.012 August 2026
Upgrade prompts everywhere a plan limit is hit
- Hitting any plan limit or gated feature (AI reports, marketing, inventory, staff/store/product limits, daily sales cap, social scheduling, recurring invoices, webshop) now opens the upgrade popup with a one-click Upgrade button — previously most of these failed silently
- Free-plan companies see a persistent upgrade strip above the module header with an Upgrade button that jumps straight to Settings → Subscription
v0.54.212 August 2026
Bolder brand line under the site nav
- The brand-coloured line under the top navigation bar on the marketing pages is now 3px instead of 1px, so it reads as a deliberate accent rather than a hairline — emerald on RepairTree, brand blue on GraphRetail
v0.54.112 August 2026
Auto-Report Scheduling Fixes
- Weekly auto reports now send once each Monday covering the previous week — previously the send day drifted earlier each cycle and the same report could be emailed twice
- The "Last sent" time on the auto-report page now shows the correct local time (and no longer fails to display on Safari)
- Scheduled report emails are now pinned to the right company's email settings, and platform alert emails can no longer pick up a customer's email configuration
v0.54.012 August 2026
Finish Setting Up
- A new setup bar at the top of the app shows how much of your initial setup is left — business details, ABN, your first product, and email sending
- Click any item in the bar to jump straight to the right page. The bar disappears once everything is done
- Only owners and managers see the bar, and the sample products we load for you don't count as your first product — it ticks off when you add one of your own
v0.53.012 August 2026
Repairs and SIM plans work out of the box, and a sharper POS grid
- New accounts now start with a sample repair price book — 20 devices with screen, battery, charging port, camera and water-damage pricing — so the repair intake works end to end from the first minute
- Five sample SIM plans are loaded too, so the SIM Plan Seller shows real plans instead of an empty screen
- The repairs device pickers now only show the built-in catalogue if you've opted into it, and always include devices from your own price list — previously an opted-out shop still saw the built-in device tree with no prices behind it
- Every tile in the POS popular grid has an add button in the corner, and the grid carries a proper Popular heading
- If AI product search isn't part of your plan, the search bar now shows a clear upgrade prompt instead of empty results
v0.52.012 August 2026
A working shop from the first minute
- New accounts start with a stocked shop: 20 sample phones with photos are loaded automatically, and a few already sit in the POS popular grid — the old "pre-fill with sample data?" step on the welcome page is gone because there's nothing left to pre-fill
- You now choose your own 4-digit till PIN on the signup form, so it's yours from the first login — it's never emailed to you, exactly like your password
- The till is already open when you first log in (with a $0 float, recorded as opened at sign-up) — ring up your first sale straight away; after you close that first shift, opening the till works the usual way with a PIN and float count
- Staff accounts can no longer remove or deactivate themselves — another admin has to do it, so a business can't lock itself out by accident
v0.51.112 August 2026
Coming soon on the integrations page: MYOB, Shopify, WooCommerce and Tyro
- The integrations page now shows what's next on the roadmap: MYOB accounting sync, Shopify and WooCommerce store connections, and Tyro EFTPOS terminal pairing — each greyed out and marked "Coming soon" so it's clear they aren't connectable yet
- A new Ecommerce section groups the online-store integrations alongside the existing Payments, POS Hardware and Accounting sections
v0.51.011 August 2026
Choose your currency on the RepairTree pricing page
- The RepairTree pricing page now lets you see plan prices in AUD, USD, NZD, EUR, CAD or INR — tap a currency and the Growth and Multi Store prices switch straight away
- Whichever currency you picked follows you through sign-up and into checkout, so you pay in the currency you were quoted rather than being converted at the last step
- If a currency hasn't been switched on for a plan yet, checkout now says so plainly and suggests trying another one, instead of failing with an unhelpful error
v0.50.011 August 2026
Store credit, partial refunds, sale void — and PIN approvals that mean it
- Store credit is now real: issue it to a customer (staff PIN required), see the balance and full movement history on their CRM profile, and take it as payment at any store's POS — alone or split with another method. Balances never expire and every movement is logged with who approved it and why
- Refunds can now be partial: pick the lines and quantities coming back, and send the money to the original tender or onto the customer's store credit. Each line's share of any sale-level discount or surcharge is worked out for you, to the cent
- New: void a sale. A supervisor or admin PIN un-rings a mistake — stock, gift-card and store-credit draws, coupon uses and customer stats all reverse, and the sale drops out of revenue and till reconciliation. Sales captured through a card gateway, or that settled a repair, special order or gift card, must be refunded instead — a void can't un-happen those
- A credit note against an invoice that was already paid now writes a reversing entry into the sales figures, so POS reporting stops carrying revenue the credit reversed
- Staff PIN prompts are now enforced by the server, not just shown by the screen: refunds and voids need a supervisor or admin PIN, staff changes need an admin PIN, and till and repair actions record the identity of the person whose PIN approved them. Calling the API directly without an approval now gets a 403
- The till no longer opens itself silently when POS loads. Opening is a deliberate action with a float count and a staff PIN, so every session's cash figures start from a person, not a default
- The Marketing module is now permission-gated and hidden from roles without it — staff don't hold it by default, so if your staff used the Marketing screens, grant marketing.view in Settings → Access Levels
- The last four advisory permission toggles (sales history, customer editing, repair intake and updates) are now enforced. Staff hold all four by default — including on customised matrices, which received the same grants — so nothing changes until you untick one; from now on unticking genuinely blocks
v0.49.011 August 2026
Activity feed for the admin area
- The admin area now has a Notifications page: a running feed of new sign-ups, plan upgrades, cancellations, failed payments, free-plan limits being hit and new enquiries from the contact form. Unread items are highlighted and the sidebar shows a count, so nothing important goes unnoticed
- Click any item to jump straight to the business it relates to, or mark everything read in one go
- Fixed: the admin area showed the wrong business name on some of our sites — it now always shows the name of the site you signed in on
v0.48.010 August 2026
Access levels fully enforced, repair notice acknowledgement, itemised bills
- The Access Levels matrix is now enforced end to end: twenty permissions are checked on the server, covering selling, holding sales, viewing products, inventory, invoices, customers and repairs — not just the money actions. Unticking a box now genuinely removes the capability, including for requests made outside the app. If you customised your matrix back when these boxes only hid buttons, review it before your staff next shift: what's unticked now actually blocks
- Editing or deleting an invoice now requires the same permission as creating one — previously a staff member refused at creation could still edit any invoice or delete drafts
- Repair intake can record that the customer was shown the ACL repair notice, stamped with the staff member who confirmed it — stronger evidence in a dispute than the notice alone
- New: send a customer an itemised bill for any repair in one click — the Australian Consumer Law gives them 30 days to ask and you 7 days to provide it. Uses your business identity, never ours, and every send (or failure) is logged
- Repair marketing pages no longer advertise signature capture or parts reservation ahead of those features shipping; the pages now describe the pickup checks, photos and notices that exist today
- Fixed: the OnePlus entry in the repair catalogue was split into brand 'One', model 'Plus' — merged properly, with any saved price overrides carried across
- Fixed: adding a product before the store list finished loading could silently drop the opening stock quantity — it now refuses with a clear message instead
- Overdue-reminder marketing consent values are validated on customer edits instead of failing with a server error
- Internal: the browser test suite is immune to unlucky random demo stock, a lint gate now runs in CI, and 47 lint errors were cleared
v0.47.010 August 2026
Dashboard is owner-only, tighter permissions, safer refund and sale screens
- The Dashboard is now admin-only. It rolls up every shop's takings and the full staff leaderboard, so supervisors and staff no longer see it — store-level reporting remains available to them. If a supervisor needs it back, that's a role change, not a setting
- More of the Access Levels matrix is now enforced on the server, not just in the interface: closing or reconciling a register, creating invoices and creating credit notes now genuinely require the matching permission. Staff without it get a clear refusal instead of silent access
- Fixed: an admin of one business could read and even overwrite another business's receipt details — trading name, address and ABN — by guessing a store id. Receipt settings are now locked to your own stores
- Fixed: creating a customer with no name at all was accepted and left an unidentifiable record. A customer now needs at least a first, last or business name, and the CRM list no longer shows 'Invalid Date' for when customers were added
- Fixed: after your very first sign-up, logging in again after three days said your temporary password had expired and told you to ask your manager — locking owners out of their own new account. Self-service sign-ups no longer expire
- Erasing a customer's personal data is now admin-only, matching data export, and the erase and export buttons are hidden for staff who can't use them. Erasure now also clears the customer's name from gift cards and café orders linked to them
- Repairs can move back from Ready to In Progress when QA finds a problem, instead of forcing staff to leave the status wrong
- Overdue invoice reminders can be switched off per business in Invoicing → Settings. They stay on by default, and switching back on resumes the sequence where it left off
- The webshop is now properly limited to plans that include it — the pages were hidden before, but the underlying publishing worked for any plan if called directly. Free and Growth tenants also no longer see dead-end Special Orders or Webshop tabs their plan doesn't include
- The point of sale now shows errors and refund confirmations as proper messages on screen instead of browser pop-up alerts, so the reason a sale failed to save stays visible
- Fixed: after a sale or refund, product tiles kept showing the old stock quantity until you searched for something else. They now update immediately
- Fixed: emailed receipts for a business with no trading name on file fell back to naming our software as the seller. A receipt now always identifies your business, never ours
- Fixed: reports exported to CSV could carry values that spreadsheets would run as formulas. Exports are now safe to open in Excel
- Fixed: scanning an unknown product barcode read stock as zero at some shops due to an internal store lookup bug
v0.46.09 August 2026
Staff PINs that actually gate, location access on reads, your own SIM plans
- Staff PINs now mean something. The keypad has always appeared before sensitive actions, but nothing on our side checked it had — the prompt could be skipped entirely. Approving with a PIN now issues a one-time pass that the action itself demands, so a gated action cannot happen without a real approval
- Staff whose PIN was still stored in the old unencrypted format are upgraded automatically the next time they use it
- Location access is now enforced when reading, not just when changing. Staff assigned to one shop could still view another shop's takings, tills and repair tickets. Stock lookups, transfer requests, the shared product list and head-office reporting still work across all your shops, and owners and admins are unaffected
- Overriding a repair price now needs a supervisor or admin PIN, the same as a refund or a POS price override. Previously any staff member could set any repair to $0 with no approval and no record
- Fixed: duplicating an invoice rounded the discount to a whole percent, so a $7.50 discount came back as $8.00. It now copies the exact discount
- Fixed: an invoice made up entirely of GST-free items was labelled a plain invoice instead of a tax invoice. Whether a document was issued as a tax invoice is now recorded on the invoice itself, so it stays correct even if your GST registration changes later
- Fixed: typing something that isn't a number into a stocktake count or a stock adjustment sent it through as blank. You now get a clear message naming the item
- SIM plans are yours. The SIM tool shipped with six made-up sample plans, the same for every business. Add your carrier's real plans in Settings → SIM Plans; link one to a product and the sale is priced and stocked from your catalogue like anything else
- The bundled repair price list no longer carries another business's branded service name
v0.45.09 August 2026
Location access enforced, GST corrected, morning reports fixed
- Fixed: staff could reach shops they aren't assigned to. The list of locations each person works at was recorded and shown in the store switcher, but nothing actually enforced it — sending a different location was enough to record a sale or adjust stock somewhere else. It's now checked on the server for every change, with owners and admins still able to reach every shop
- Fixed: if the app couldn't load your staff record, the location switcher quietly showed you every shop in the business. It now shows none and offers a retry, rather than widening access when something goes wrong
- Fixed: a discount on an invoice was applied after GST instead of before, so a discounted invoice overstated the GST. A $100 invoice with 10% off now correctly shows $9.00 GST and a $99.00 total, and the figures on screen match the saved invoice
- Fixed: invoices could still show and charge GST after a business turned off GST registration, because the totals didn't refresh when the setting loaded. Editing an existing invoice could also add 10% GST to new lines invisibly
- Fixed: 'Today', 'This month' and 'This year' in sales history used UTC rather than your local date. Before about 10am, 'Today' showed yesterday — and on the 1st of a month, or 1 January, the report returned nothing at all. The dashboard and COGS report had the same problem
- Fixed: receipts assumed every item was taxed at 10%, so GST-free items printed as though GST had been charged on them. Each line now uses its own tax rate and the receipt totals the real amounts
- Fixed: the 'Don't know your PIN? Use password instead' option always failed with a server error whenever anyone in the business had a PIN set — which is to say, always
- Fixed: AI product search returned nothing for every business except our demo account, because a demo account id had been left in the query it builds
- Security: campaign content is now cleaned of anything executable when it's saved and again when it's displayed, so a booby-trapped email design can't run code in a colleague's browser. Existing campaigns are cleaned as they're opened
- New businesses no longer start with our sample repair price list — you build your own from Settings → Data Import. Existing businesses keep the list they have. The SIM plan tool is now labelled as sample pricing
v0.44.08 August 2026
Every dollar at the till now checked by the server
- Fixed: if a sale failed to save, the till carried on as though it hadn't. It emptied the cart, added the takings to the drawer, marked the repair paid and debited the customer's gift card — all for a sale that was never recorded. A failed sale now changes nothing at all, and the cart is kept so you can fix the problem and ring it up again
- Fixed: gift cards were loaded with their full value the moment they were created, before anyone had paid. Voiding the sale left a live, spendable card behind. A new card is now worth nothing until the sale goes through, and the screen says so before you hand it over
- Fixed: repairs, special-order payments, gift cards, SIM plans and exchanges all had their price taken from the till screen without being checked. Repair charges, deposits, balances and gift card values are now read from your own records, so a mistyped or altered price is caught before the sale is saved
- Fixed: goods handed back on an exchange never went back into stock, so your on-hand count drifted down with every exchange. Returned items now go straight back on the shelf, and you can't return more of something than was bought in the first place
- Fixed: a whole-of-sale discount ignored the minimum price and maximum discount set against each product, so any item could be discounted to nothing. Discounts are now held to the limits you've set, and a gift card can never be sold below face value
- Discount codes are now yours. Previously four codes (SAVE10, SAVE20, 5OFF and WELCOME) were built into the app and worked in every business, forever, with no record of who used them. Those are gone. Set up your own in Settings → Discount Codes, with an expiry date and a usage limit if you want one
- Every sale line now records whether the price came from your records or was typed in by hand, so you can tell the difference when you're reviewing takings
v0.43.08 August 2026
Clearer plan sizing: Multi Store, and staff caps that match the price
- The Multi plan is now called Multi Store, so its name says what it's for — running several shops from one account. Nothing about the plan itself changes; the price and every feature stay exactly the same
- Growth now includes 2 staff accounts (previously 5). It's a single-shop plan, and 2 accounts covers an owner plus a hand for most one-shop repair businesses
- Multi Store now includes 10 staff accounts across your shops (previously uncapped). If you're growing past that, talk to our sales team and we'll sort out a plan that fits
- If you already have more staff than your plan now allows, you keep everyone — nothing is switched off. You just can't add or reactivate staff beyond the new limit until you move up a plan or deactivate someone
v0.42.08 August 2026
Plan limits that hold, and a proper upgrade confirmation
- Fixed: reactivating an archived shop or a deactivated staff member skipped the plan limit check entirely, so an account could quietly end up over its plan. Turning one back on is now checked the same way as adding a new one
- You now get an email confirming your purchase as soon as a paid plan goes live, with a rundown of what the plan includes
- Coming back from checkout now shows a confirmation in the app telling you your new plan and limits are active — previously it landed you on a page with no acknowledgement at all
- You can no longer buy a plan you're already too big for. If you have more shops or staff than the plan allows, checkout tells you exactly how many to deactivate first instead of taking the payment
- Hitting your shop or staff limit on the Free plan now sends the same upgrade nudge that hitting the product limit already did
v0.41.07 August 2026
Simpler plans, a greener landing, and reliable webhooks
- The Enterprise plan is now called Multi. It costs $149 a month and covers up to 5 shops — every feature Enterprise had is still included, nothing has been taken away
- Growth is now clearly a single-shop plan for $49 a month. If you already have more shops or staff than your plan allows, you keep them — you just can't add more until you move up
- You can sign up for Multi yourself from the pricing page. It used to say 'Contact Sales', which meant waiting for someone to get back to you
- Running more than 5 shops? The pricing page now says so plainly and points you straight at our sales team
- Fixed: some subscriptions weren't picking up plan changes from our payment provider, so a plan could look out of date on your account
- RepairTree landing page got a colour lift: soft animated green glows behind the hero, a deep-green stats band with halftone texture, pricing cards that light up on hover, and a bold green closing call-to-action panel
- Fixed: payment and integration webhooks (Stripe, Square, Xero, QuickBooks, Meta) were being rejected by our security layer — subscription upgrades and integration updates now apply instantly instead of waiting for the nightly sync
- Fixed: recurring invoices with auto-send could be marked 'sent' even when the email never left the building. An invoice is now only marked sent after confirmed delivery; if sending fails it stays as a visible draft with the reason logged, so nothing silently goes missing
- New companies now get their timezone captured at signup (defaulting to their browser's), laying the groundwork for schedule times that respect each shop's local time
- Ad measurement added to the RepairTree marketing site (marketing pages only — never inside the app)
- The RepairTree story now leads with its roots: a 'Built on 20 years in phone repair' badge in the hero and a '20+ years fixing phones' stat in the trust bar
v0.40.37 August 2026
Mobile-friendly signup and login
- Fixed: the signup page had no mobile layout at all — the dark brand panel took 40% of the width on phones, squeezing the form into roughly 145px and clipping every field. The brand panel is now hidden below 768px and replaced by a centred logo, matching the login page
- Fixed: form inputs on signup and login were 15px, which made iOS Safari zoom the page in whenever a field was focused. They are now 16px on mobile (desktop is unchanged)
- Fixed: both pages used 100vh, which is taller than the visible area on mobile browsers and cut off content behind the address bar. They now use 100dvh with a 100vh fallback
- Fixed: the close (×) button was a 36px tap target on mobile, below the 44px accessibility minimum. It is now 44px on phones
- Fixed: the tall signup form could be clipped on short screens because the panel centred its content vertically. It now falls back to top-alignment when the form is taller than the viewport
v0.40.28 June 2026
Fix Open Graph social image headline overflow
- Fixed: the 1200×630 Open Graph / Facebook-feed social image had its headline on a single line, which ran off the right edge ('repair shops.' was clipped). It now wraps to two lines like every other format, fully inside the frame
v0.40.18 June 2026
Press kit alignment & content fixes
- Fixed: the brand-colours grid now lays out evenly — cards on the final row are the same width as cards on row 1 (auto-fill instead of auto-fit), and every swatch is exactly the same height regardless of how long its note text is
- Fixed: the social ad imagery — PCB-trace decorations no longer overlap the logo lockup on the story format, no longer sit at the headline baseline on the Open Graph format, and stay clear of the logo on the portrait format
- Polish: leaf icon in every social-image logo lockup now sits with its bottom aligned to the wordmark baseline instead of hanging ~7–14 px low
- Corrected: 'Founded' fact on the press page is now 2012, not 2024
v0.40.08 June 2026
Press kit · agency essentials
- Icon-only and app-icon logo variants — leaf mark in light and dark, plus a 1024×1024 rounded-square app icon in light and dark — added to the Logos section for avatars, badges, partner co-marks and app-store mockups
- Three stylised product UI mockups (repair board, point of sale, dashboard) added as 1200×800 SVGs, dropped into a new 'Product mockups' section so agencies can actually show the product in their creative
- New 'Headlines library' — fifteen ready-to-A/B-test ad headlines grouped by angle (busy-shop pain, one-tool benefit, customer comms, pricing risk-reversal, AU pride), each with a copy button
- New 'Brand usage & agency essentials' section — pull-quote testimonial, stats & claims agencies can confidently use, pronunciation and spelling rules, voice & tone guidelines, official hashtags, a UTM convention example, and a logo do's-and-don'ts grid
- Added all the new sections to the press-kit jump nav; widened the row to fit the longer list without crowding
v0.39.08 June 2026
Press kit · social ad imagery
- RepairTree press kit (repairtree.app/press) now ships pre-composed social ad imagery — Open Graph / Facebook feed (1200×630), Instagram square (1080×1080), Instagram portrait (1080×1350), and Instagram story / Reel (1080×1920) — each in light and dark variants, eight files in total
- Every image carries the brand wordmark, a single bold headline ('Built for busy repair shops.'), a supporting subhead, and a 'Start free · repairtree.app' CTA, with subtle PCB-trace decoration in the corners to match the rest of the brand visual language
- Images ship as SVG so they scale cleanly to any export size — most ad managers accept SVG directly, or you can convert to PNG / JPEG in your design tool
- Press page hero's jump-link row now wraps to a comfortable reading width on wide displays so it sits squarely under the lead copy instead of drifting past it
v0.38.01 June 2026
RepairTree press kit
- New: repairtree.app/press — a complete brand & press kit with downloadable logos (wordmark on light, wordmark on dark, horizontal lockup), the brand colour palette with click-to-copy hex codes, four lengths of ready-to-paste boilerplate copy (tagline / short / medium / long), pre-written social posts sized for X, LinkedIn, Instagram and Facebook with character counts, quick-facts strip for directory listings, and direct press contact details
- Press link added to the RepairTree footer under Company
v0.37.01 June 2026
Marketing page metrics on the admin dashboard
- Admin → API Metrics now tracks page views — the brand websites, the contact form, the public legal pages, the login and signup screens, the suite and the admin — alongside the API requests it was already measuring. Previously only API traffic was visible, so marketing pages were invisible on the dashboard
- New 'Marketing Pages' table shows the brand-site paths specifically — every brand subpage, /contact, /login, /signup and friends — with unique visitor counts and total views, filtered to exclude /suite and /admin so brand traffic doesn't get drowned by product polling
- Tracking is captured at the edge with the existing country + referrer + user-agent + bot signals, so 'Top Pages', 'Top Referrers', 'Top Countries', 'Unique Visitors' and 'Bot Traffic' all now include marketing-page visits
v0.36.31 June 2026
Admin → API Metrics now self-heals against the geo column
- Fixed: the platform API metrics dashboard could come up empty after the geo (country) column was added — every metric write was silently rejected because the connection it ran against didn't yet know the column existed. The flush and the internal ingest endpoint now check + add the column themselves before preparing the insert, so writes start landing again immediately and the dashboard fills up without a redeploy
- Schema-check failures now log loudly enough to be findable in deploy logs instead of disappearing into a swallowed try/catch
v0.36.21 June 2026
Internal cleanup
- Internal cleanup: rolling-elapsed windows in the email-frequency cap, lifecycle/win-back sweeps, upgrade-reminder cron, hard-fail counter and admin email-log rollup are now expressed in hours so the boundaries are timezone-independent — same windows, no behavioural change
v0.36.131 May 2026
Email Templates — fuller editor, richer defaults
- Admin → Email Templates now lists every platform email the system sends, including the two contact-form emails (notification to your support inbox, and the auto-reply confirmation to the sender) that previously bypassed the editor
- Contact-form emails now flow through the same template + audit + suppression + brand pipeline as every other platform email — they're previewable, editable, and consistent with the rest of the family
- Refreshed the default copy on the password-reset, onboarding (products / first sale / team / explore), plan-limit, payment-failed, win-back, cancellation and lead-nurture templates so each one leads with a branded heading, a 'highlight' callout with the key information, a clear CTA, and a friendly muted closer
- Platform-mailer now supports a Reply-To header — the contact support notification uses it so your team can reply directly to the sender
- If you've previously customised any of these templates, your saved version still wins — hit 'Reset to default' in the editor to pick up the new copy
v0.36.031 May 2026
Visitor-friendly metrics on the API Metrics dashboard
- Admin → API Metrics now leads with the figures most people actually want: Unique Visitors (distinct humans), Signed-in Users, Active Companies, and the busiest hour in the window
- New 'Top Pages' table shows which marketing pages are getting the most attention — visitor count alongside total views, with API routes and assets excluded
- New 'Top Referrers' table groups incoming traffic by source domain (search engines, social, partner sites, direct), so you can see at a glance where visitors are coming from
- Headline numbers exclude bot traffic, so 'Unique Visitors' is the human count — bots are still tracked separately as 'Bot Traffic'
v0.35.231 May 2026
Password reset flow — broken link, dark-mode look, brand polish
- Fixed: the link in password-reset emails now opens the reset page (it was being rewritten to a non-existent brand-scoped path and 404'ing for every brand)
- Platform emails — welcome, password reset, upgrade reminder, onboarding drip, lifecycle and transactional — now declare themselves as light-only, so Gmail / iOS Mail / Outlook in dark mode stop inverting them into a muddy 'dark' version
- Password-reset email now leads with your brand name in the heading so it reads as clearly branded as the welcome email (if you've customised the password-reset template in Admin → Email Templates, hit 'Reset to default' to pick up the new copy)
v0.35.131 May 2026
RepairTree marketing pages know when you're signed in
- If you're already logged in, the RepairTree website (homepage, every feature and industry page, phone-repair-software, and contact) now shows a 'Dashboard' button that takes you straight into your suite — instead of a 'Get Started' or 'Log in' button that would push you to sign up or log in again
v0.35.031 May 2026
Countries on the API Metrics dashboard
- Admin → API Metrics now shows a 'Top Countries' breakdown with the flag, country name, request count, and share of traffic — derived from the platform's edge network for free (no third-party lookups, no extra latency)
- Country is stored alongside every request from this release onward; older requests will appear unattributed until they age out of the window
v0.34.231 May 2026
Quieter notifications polling
- Fixed a source of repeated 'forbidden' errors in the platform admin panel — the suite no longer polls notifications for a placeholder store when your session hasn't picked one yet
v0.34.129 May 2026
Contact form reliably uses the platform SMTP settings
- Contact-form messages (notification to support, and the confirmation back to the sender) now always send via the SMTP settings you configured in Admin → SMTP Settings, even under heavy concurrent traffic
- The same guarantee applies to the 'Send test email' button in Admin → SMTP Settings — it now provably tests the platform config rather than whichever tenant happened to be active at the moment
v0.34.029 May 2026
Automated Lifecycle Emails
- New: the platform now sends helpful lifecycle emails automatically — a multi-step onboarding series for new accounts (add your first product, make a sale, invite your team), each step skipped if you've already done it
- New: friendly nudges when a Free account hits a plan limit, plus payment-failure (dunning) emails so customers can fix a declined card before losing access
- New: win-back emails for accounts that have gone quiet, and a cancellation email that confirms the change and invites feedback
- New: prospects who contact us and opt in receive a short, unsubscribe-able nurture series — and every contact-form enquiry is now saved as a lead
- Every platform email now flows through one system that respects unsubscribes, suppresses bounced/complained addresses, caps how often we email someone, and records every send
- New admin 'Email Activity' page shows what was sent, delivery status, lifecycle sequence enrolment, the suppression list, and captured leads
- All marketing/lifecycle emails now include a one-click unsubscribe and honour it immediately
v0.33.129 May 2026
Internal cleanup
- Internal cleanup: removed superseded email builders that were replaced by the centralised platform email system — no change to the emails you send or receive
v0.33.029 May 2026
Editable Platform Emails with Live Preview
- Admin → Email Templates now lets you edit the platform emails your customers receive — the welcome & login email, password reset, and the upgrade reminder — with a live preview that updates as you type and a brand switcher to see each version
- Your edits now actually take effect: the welcome, password reset, and upgrade-reminder emails all send using your saved templates (previously changes were saved but never used)
- Added a Password Reset template to the editor, and gave every platform email a richer, more polished default design
- Click any available variable to drop it straight into the email, and use 'Reset to default' to undo your changes for a template
- Password reset emails are now properly branded to match the site the request came from
v0.32.029 May 2026
RepairTree Website — Mobile-Friendly & Sharper Previews
- The whole RepairTree website now looks and works great on phones — the homepage, every feature and industry page, and the contact form all adapt cleanly to small screens with no sideways scrolling
- Contact form fields no longer cause the page to zoom in when you tap them on an iPhone
- Each feature page now shows a product preview that matches what it's describing — point of sale, invoicing, inventory, repairs, reporting, marketing, rewards and staff each get their own tailored mock-up instead of one shared image
- Each industry page now shows a repair board with jobs and devices relevant to that trade
- Updated the homepage headline stats to '1M+ repairs tracked' and '100+ repair shops'
- Fixed the pricing and subscription screen so the Growth and Enterprise plans show the correct prices and the upgrade button now takes you to checkout
- The 'Before you check out' upsell prompt in Point of Sale now matches your brand's colours and is easier to read
v0.31.029 May 2026
Consistent Buttons Across the Suite
- Every button across the app now shares one consistent look and feel — the same rounded pill shape, sizing, and hover behaviour — so the whole suite feels more polished and predictable
- Buttons that kick off a task (saving an invoice, charging a sale, running a data import, generating a campaign) now show a clear loading spinner and disable themselves while they work, so it's obvious something is happening
- Tidied up the Point of Sale payment screens, repair check-in steps, settings, and invoicing actions so their buttons all match the rest of the app
v0.30.028 May 2026
Cleaner, Friendlier In-App Look
- Refreshed the whole app with a cleaner, more modern typeface for a friendlier, more polished feel across every screen
- Repairs now opens with an at-a-glance summary — how many jobs came in today, how many are in progress, and how many are ready to collect — and each repair shows a device tile with the customer and job laid out on two clean lines
- Status labels across Repairs, Invoicing, Marketing and Inventory are now soft, rounded pills that are easier to read at a glance
- Customer and invoice lists now show a small initial badge beside each name, so they're quicker to scan
v0.29.028 May 2026
Contact Form & Sharper Phone-Repair Focus (RepairTree)
- New: a Contact page on the RepairTree website lets visitors send you a message — their name, email, business, topic, and question — without having to open their own email app
- The 'Contact' links and 'Contact Sales' buttons across the RepairTree site now open this form, and a friendly 'Questions about which plan?' prompt now sits under the pricing options
- When someone gets in touch, their message lands in your support inbox and they instantly receive a confirmation that you've got it
- Replies go straight back to the person who wrote in, so you can answer them directly
- The RepairTree homepage now speaks directly to phone repair shops — we removed the broader 'every repair trade' section so the page stays focused on phone repair
- Updated the text that appears in Google results and link previews for the RepairTree site to describe phone repair shop software, instead of the generic retail wording
- Refreshed the RepairTree footer links to point to phone-repair-focused pages
- The integrations section on the homepage now shows the real Stripe, Square, Xero and QuickBooks logos instead of placeholder tiles
- Fixed an issue where some signed-in accounts saw "No company context" and couldn't open AI Reports or other screens — your session now reconnects to your business automatically
- Refreshed the RepairTree homepage with a cleaner, more editorial layout — clearer feature sections with product previews, a simpler 'how it works', and far less visual clutter
v0.28.018 May 2026
Social Scheduling module — schedule and publish Facebook Page posts
- New: Social Scheduling module appears in the sidebar (Growth tier and above). Organise scheduled posts into campaigns, see them on a week calendar, and publish to your connected Facebook Page
- New: connect a Facebook Page via OAuth — your Page access token is encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM before being stored. Set SOCIAL_TOKEN_KEY (openssl rand -hex 32), FACEBOOK_APP_ID, FACEBOOK_APP_SECRET, and PUBLIC_BASE_URL in your environment to enable
- New: compose posts with body text, link, up to four images (JPEG/PNG/GIF — WebP is excluded because Meta does not accept it on /photos), and save as draft / schedule for later / publish now
- New: a manual "Run cron now" button in the module header so you can publish without waiting for the next 5-minute tick
- New: Instagram, LinkedIn, X (Twitter), Google Business Profile, and TikTok appear in the Accounts panel marked "Coming soon" — the architecture is wired for them and they will light up as each integration ships
- Reliability: a new cron_state table records every scheduler tick plus a heartbeat — a superadmin diagnostics endpoint at /api/admin/cron-status proves the publish loop is alive without having to read logs
- Reliability: the publish cron is callable from the existing scripts/cron-ec2.sh installer, so on EC2 you get system-cron firing the runner every 5 minutes alongside the in-process scheduler
- Reliability: Meta's required Deauthorize and Data Deletion Request callbacks are live — when a user removes the app from Facebook, the matching account is automatically marked revoked and pending publishes for it are skipped
v0.27.416 May 2026
AI Turnover Matches the Legacy POS Dashboard
- Fixed: when you asked the AI about today's turnover from the legacy CasphonePOS, the numbers were materially lower than the Quick Totals page on mybug.com.au. The AI was summing sale totals; your legacy POS sums actual money received per payment, minus cash change. The AI now uses the legacy POS's own formula, so the figures match the Quick Totals dashboard store-by-store
- Fixed: legacy date filtering was using UTC time even though the legacy data is stored in Brisbane wall-clock time. "Today" now uses Brisbane time for legacy queries regardless of your company's chosen timezone — matching the way the legacy POS itself calculates today
- Fixed a subtle bug across the whole suite: filter timestamps were being formatted with the "T" / "Z" separators that don't match how SQLite stores values. Under certain conditions this caused part of "today" to be silently excluded. All date filters now use the same format the database stores, eliminating the gap
v0.27.316 May 2026
AI Lists Transactions With Times
- Fixed: the AI sometimes claimed "timestamps weren't recorded" when asked to list transactions — they always are. The AI is now required to include each sale's time in its answer and is forbidden from making excuses about missing timestamps
v0.27.216 May 2026
Correct Times in AI Answers
- Fixed: when asking the AI for today's transactions, the times shown were 10 hours ahead of reality. The AI was applying the timezone offset twice. Times now display correctly in your local clock with no further conversion needed
- Recent sales in AI summaries are now pre-formatted as friendly local-time strings (e.g. "Sat 16 May, 2:30 PM") so there's no chance of misreading them
- The AI's example queries now show how to render times in your local timezone without double-counting the offset
v0.27.116 May 2026
Accurate Numbers, Accurate Time
- Set your timezone in Settings → Company Profile — the AI Assistant, Dashboard, Reports, and every "today / yesterday / this month" calculation now follow your local clock instead of the server's. Daylight saving is handled automatically
- Fixed: "What's today's turnover?" could return inflated numbers when a sale had multiple items on it. Today, week and month revenue figures are now correct to the cent
- Fixed: average basket size could be skewed by refunded sales. Refunds are now excluded from the basket-size average
- Fixed: the AI's "recent sales" list could echo months-old transactions on a quiet day. It now only shows activity from the last seven days
- Currency totals are rounded cleanly to two decimal places — no more $19,989.999999996 appearing in answers
- Auto-emailed Opening / Closing / Weekly / Monthly reports now schedule and send based on your local time, not the server's
- Stronger isolation between companies — added several layers of defence so the AI Assistant can never reach data belonging to another business, even if a question is crafted to try
- Hardened the AI against trick questions that try to bypass date filters, sneak past safety guards, or inject hidden instructions through customer names or product names
- Daily ceiling added on AI Assistant usage per company to prevent runaway costs from an automated misuse
v0.27.015 May 2026
Repairs, Data Import & Smarter Settings
- New Repairs module — log device repairs, track parts used, print a customer receipt as PDF, and notify customers automatically by SMS or email when their device is ready
- Customisable repair intake questions — build your own checklist (yes/no, free text, or dropdown) so staff capture the same information for every job
- Repair price overrides — set your own prices for common repairs so quotes match your shop
- Data Import — bring customers, products with stock, and repair prices into the suite from a CSV file, with downloadable templates so you know exactly what columns to fill in
- Data Export — download your own customers, inventory, or repair prices as a CSV at any time; the file can be edited and re-imported as a round trip
- Settings reorganised — POS settings (Payments, Receipts) now live inside the POS module under a new ⚙ button in the header; Inventory settings live inside Inventory the same way; the Settings page keeps only company-wide options and a tidy directory of links to each module's settings
- New automatic Opening and Closing reports — get a daily summary of how the day started and how it ended, emailed to whoever you choose
- Auto-Report scheduler — pick the time, day, and recipients for any saved AI report and have it sent automatically
- Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) reporting — see margin and profit per product, category, or sale window
- Business plan page added for prospective customers to review what the suite covers
- AI Assistant: reasoning panel now reliably shows the model's thinking; chat history syncs correctly across tabs and devices
- Email reliability fixes — staff invitations, repair notifications, and the password-reset flow now deliver consistently
- Hardened data handling behind the scenes — customer details and repair notes are now safely escaped when included in emails, exported spreadsheets are protected from spreadsheet-formula tricks, and sensitive connection details for legacy data imports are kept out of the codebase
v0.26.010 May 2026
AI Assistant Upgrade
- Your AI Business Analyst can now query both the live database and your legacy Repairbug history — switch between them with a new toggle
- Ask questions by voice — tap the microphone, speak your question, and the AI will read the answer back to you automatically
- You can stop the voice playback at any time by tapping the Stop button
- Share any AI report with a link — click 'Link' on any answer to copy a shareable URL that opens right inside the suite
- Shared links are private — only logged-in staff from your company can view them
- Email AI reports to anyone — click 'Email' on any answer, and optionally include the shareable link with an easy toggle
- Export any AI result to a spreadsheet with the new CSV download button
- If the AI can't answer a question, you can now report it to your admin so they can improve the system
- The AI now shows its reasoning process in a collapsible 'Thinking' section for transparency
- Suggestion chips now appear below the chat to help you get started with common questions
- Chat history is now saved separately for each database so switching tabs keeps your conversation
v0.25.226 April 2026
Settings Organisation & Homepage Refresh
- Settings sidebar items are now grouped into clear sections — POS, Company, and Global — so you can find what you need faster
- Section headers in Settings are now more prominent and easier to scan
- The Features section on the homepage now uses a single high-quality showcase image with a clean grid of feature descriptions
v0.25.125 April 2026
Smarter Popular Products
- Popular items on the POS screen are now saved per location — each store gets its own list based on what sells best there
