Affiliate program

Sharing a referral link, the discount it gives a new business, and the commission you earn on what they pay.

Settings → Affiliate gives you a share link of your own. Any business that signs up through it is recorded as your referral: they get a discount off their first three months on a paid plan, and you earn a share of every invoice they pay for the next twelve.

Creating a link

Press New link and choose a code. The code is the end of your web address — lowercase letters, numbers and hyphens, between 4 and 24 characters — so casphone becomes a link ending /ref/casphone. A code is claimed across the whole platform, so a name somebody else already holds is refused with a message rather than quietly reassigned.

You can hold several links at once, each with its own label — "Facebook group", "Email footer" — which is how you tell which placement is actually working. The screen shows clicks, signups and how many of those signups went on to pay, per link.

A code cannot be changed later

The moment a link exists it starts appearing in posts, emails and printed material, and re-pointing the code would break every copy already handed out. Make a new link and switch the old one off instead.

The discount you offer

Each link carries its own discount, up to a platform ceiling of 20%. It applies to the referred business's first three months on a paid plan and is applied automatically at their checkout — there is no code for them to type and nothing for you to chase.

The percentage is captured at the moment they sign up. Lowering a link's discount later changes what future signups are offered and never what an existing referral was already promised.

What you earn

Once a referred business moves onto a paid plan, every invoice they pay for the following twelve months earns you 20% of that invoice. Each one appears in the commission table as Pending until it is paid out.

Payouts are made by bank transfer, arranged with you directly — there is no button here that moves money, and nothing is deducted from your own subscription. Totals are shown per currency, because a payment made in one currency cannot be added to a payment made in another.

What you can and cannot see

You see the name of each business you referred, when they signed up and whether they have subscribed. You never see their email address, their phone number or anything about how they use the product. You introduced a business; you did not receive its contact details.

A business that has signed up but not yet finished its setup form shows as "A new business" until it has a real trading name to display.

Turning a link off

Disable stops a link attributing new signups while leaving its history intact. Delete removes a link that has never referred anybody; a link that has will be switched off instead, so the referrals and commission owed against it are not deleted with it.

Admin only

The Affiliate screen is restricted to admin users, in the same way Subscription and Public Page are: it hands out a public web address and shows money owed.
