Connecting QuickBooks Online and mapping accounts and tax codes.

QuickBooks Online receives invoices as Invoices and POS sales as SalesReceipts deposited to the account you nominate.

Connecting, step by step

  1. Go to Settings → Integrations → QuickBooks Online.
  2. Press Connect to QuickBooks. You are sent to Intuit's own login page — sign in with your usual QuickBooks details. We never see your password.
  3. Choose which company to connect and approve the access request.
  4. You are returned to the suite automatically and the panel shows the connected company. Connected.
  5. Then open the Mappings tab on the same panel and set the item reference, tax codes and the account sales are deposited to.

Mappings are configured per realm — that is, per connected QuickBooks company.

Email on send

Invoices can optionally be emailed by QuickBooks when they are pushed, if you would rather it sent them than the suite.
